La Hallonienne kicks off the Belgian Ardennes Marathon Series for 2024

In 2017, seven of the most beautiful long-distance mountain bike events in the Ardennes came together to organize a high-level championship, the Belgian Ardennes Marathon Series.

The 7 events are spread between April and September, with the first event, La Hallonienne, having kicked off on 1 April 2024 in Grand-Halleux, Belgium.

While this 75km route is classified as the shortest course of the series, it is demanding with very tough sections and with close on 800 entries in this distance alone, racing was fast.

The weather conditions were less than ideal, smothering sections of the terrain with muddy pathways that would later encourage riders to happily embrace the bike wash. But nothing will stops a cyclist from enjoying a great event. Not even a little mud.
